IACC 2018: Call for Interested Host Countries
Posted on 7 Mar, 2016
At the 16th International Anti-Corruption Conference in Malaysia last year we announced that the 17th IACC will be held in Panama in 2016. We are now seeking a host country for the 18th IACC to be held in 2018.
The IACC was founded in 1983 and is the premier global anti-corruption forum bringing together civil society, academia, governments, international organisations and the private sector. The Conference welcomes between 1500-2000 participants and features high-level plenary sessions with global leaders, as well as in-depth working sessions to address anti-corruption problems and solutions.
What makes a country eligible for hosting an IACC?
- The country’s government’s current demonstrated effort to fight corruption.
- The potential benefits of bringing the global anti-corruption movement to the given country.
- The country’s current positive influence at a regional and global level.
- Existence of local civil society partners
