International Women’s Day 2016

As today is International Woman’s Day it’s another good time to highlight one of the key corruption issues affecting mainly women: Sextortion.

Sextortion on the Agenda at the IACC

Sextortion is the abuse of power to obtain a sexual benefit or advantage

At the 16th IACC, Sextortion was one of the most important emerging issues to be addressed; it was a ground-breaking session entirely related to sextortion, and it turned out to be one of the most interesting workshops of the conference.

At the 16th International Anti-Corruption Conference in Malaysia last year we announced that the 17th IACC will be held in Panama in 2016. We are now seeking a host country for the 18th IACC to be held in 2018.

The IACC was founded in 1983 and is the premier global anti-corruption forum bringing together civil society, academia, governments, international organisations and the private sector. The Conference welcomes between 1500-2000 participants and features high-level plenary sessions with global leaders, as well as in-depth working sessions to address anti-corruption problems and solutions.
